Are you doing any EDI yet or are you starting from square one? If you are
already doing warehouse EDI you should be in a pretty good position for DSD.
But if you aren't doing any EDI, then you have a lot of work ahead of you!
Indicate whether you are already doing some EDI to get more helpful answers to
your question.

We are attempting to gather information on the feasibility and configuration
of EDI transactions and direct ship orders. In particular the issues that
need to be considered and whether or not this is possible via base JDE
(World A.73 cum9) software. Relevant information on this subject would be
most appreciated.
