Re: Creating a new completely independent path code

One note, at least on B733.1, I worked through and created a totally new
and separate pathcode and environment only to find out later on that no
'upgrades' could be applied against it. An upgrade also includes language
installs (which was the purpose of me creating the pathcode). If you are
creating a new pathcode and you are going to use it for upgrade or language
testing, verify with JDE if they now support upgrades on custom pathcodes.

RE: Creating a new completely independent path code

Hi!

You can upgrade custom pathcodes and environments only if they're previously
defined on
the JDEPLAN environment (before the upgrade process).

Re: Creating a new completely independent path code

JDE does not support upgrades on custom path codes. This was one of their
caveats when we did this. In our case it doesn't matter because we will be
having our custom path code feed several different instances of OneWorld,
these instances are in different code pages.

When we do our upgrade we will need to convert from our current version to
the new one manually anyway.

Re: the prior question of version we are currently at B7332 SP 11.1, ES
AS/400 V4R4, DS NT 4.0

We have been installed for 3 months, so far so good.
