Column security should NOT be any overhead - it is just hidden from the
user most of the time. Row security on the other hand can certainly cause
overheads.

We are in the process of implementing OneWorld. Can someone please,
please tell me how they are setting up user security to have access to
multiple (but not all) cost centers?

I have contacted Edwards, but they have only told me to use column
security, but I hear that's a huge overhead.

I am hoping that this is a pretty basic concept, and that we are not the
only install that needs this type of setup.

Thanks for the comments.

Re: Cost Center Security

hi,
we used row security to specifically include and specifically exclude (i think you must do both) user groups to business units. overhead might be high but it is effective and pretty easy to implement if you use groups.
