dbiggs,

One possibility would be if the box you are sending from has Client Access
Express on it you can use the RMTCMD with a script. We are currently doing
this from an external package that captures freight information. What
happens is the operator runs a script from the product (Clippership) that
closes the shipping day, runs reports, uploads a Clippership file, uploads
an ASN file, and as a last step runs RMTCMD that kicks off a DREAM Writer on
the iSeries that compares the uploaded information to the Sales Order Detail
file (F4211). That report then prints at a printer right next to the
operator to help identify problems that get handled before the nightly
processes run. We could not schedule job because it was dependent on when
shipping got done. The script that RMTCMD runs sets the library list and
runs the DREAM Writer with *TODAY Shipping Date.
