RDA - Which BSFN will reset Table Position

Hi List.

I've created a Financial Report with two sections, both using BSVW
V8300001.
The first section reports Revenue correctly.
The second section selects no records.
I am assuming that the tables are End Of File, (EOF).

Is there a business function that will reposition the BSVW to the start ?

My thanks for any help available.

joseph,
did you try closing the table at the end of the first section and then re-opening it in the next one ? just a thought, i did not try it.

Hi Dave.
Thanks for the suggestion, but which table would I Close and Open?
The Business View is V8100001 which uses F0006, F0901, F0902.
My thanks for you assistance.

Hi Joseph,
I am really not a Report Writer expert but I have some question that maybe could help to get closer to the resolution.

1.) Do both section use the same BSVW (is it assigned to the section)?
2.) Is your second section a conditional one?
3.) Do you call the second section with DoCustomSection system function from the first one?
4.) Is any Parent/Child relationship between the to section?
5.) Do you use any ER system function to manipulate selection and sequencing on the second section (e.g. SetUserSelection, etc.)?
6.) What kind of section they are (e.g. Columnar, Tabular, Group, etc.)

joseph,

i assume you are talking about v830001 which in b7321 contains those three tables. in any case, try doing a close by clicking on the table i/o button, click on close and then click on business view (instead of using the default which is table). this will allow you to close and open the business view.
good luck. sorry i haven't had time to test it first.
