Does anyone know the name of the purge UBE that removes Sumitted Jobs messages in Work Centre?

I currently run the following each week:

Purge Completed Tasks R01131P

Purge Completed Processes R98860P

These remove completed process instance and activity instance messages as stated in the JDE documentation, but do not remove Submitted Job messages that are successful or completed.

Any help much appreciated

Drowning in Submitted Job messages...

Are you setting the processing option for R01131P to "Purge all tasks regardless of status"? That should fix your problem.

Hope this helps

I called JDE on this issue and they said that there is no existing report to purge Submitted Jobs messages, so will have to create our own UBE based on R01131P

John,

1) Ignore Response Line's answer regarding purging of Work Center Messages - R01131P will work very well to clear all work center messages (including those about submitted jobs) IF you use the Purge by Date processing option.

2) Is it possible you are thinking of something else? There is also a "Submitted Jobs" form that displays the status of current and past jobs submitted to run on a server. You access this either from the "Work With Servers" application (P986116) or from the "Submitted Jobs" Form Exit on the "Work With Batch Versions" screen. The submitted jobs listed here do not in fact have a working purge program (as of B7331 anyway). It is very easy however to write your own as only one table (F986110) is involved. This is the approach we took here. We wrote our own UBE to purge the table F986110 of records older than 30 days. An accompanying O.S. shell script is run nightly to delete .pdf and .log files in the server printqueue and log directories older than 30 days.

John
Just to make sure we are talking about the same thing, by "work center submited jobs" you mean the messages that are stored in the F01131 table? If not then my suggestion will probably not work.

Just trying to help.
