HI experts,

Hope some of you can help me out with this. Let's refer my customer as A.

Currently we are in the midst of getting A which is our existing customer to implement JDE's Manufacturing module on top of their existing Financial and Distribution module. Their nature of business is to manufacture flour. Their main ingredients for flour is wheat plus additives and the output from their production is flour being their main product with pollard and wheat germs as their by products.

A's current setup for material costing in financial and distribution module is weighed average by lot. Due to their nature of business and manufacturing model, A is required to use Process Manufacturing in JDE to cater to A's manufacturing needs.

Problem & Questions:
1. JDE's process manufactring have to be in standard costing.
2. Can standard costing in manufacturing works with average costing in distribution?
3. Do any of you have customer reference in similar industries? Preferably those in flour manufacturing.
4. What type of costing method they use in their process manufacturing?
5. Are they able to get their weighted average costing?
6. Any customization recomended to any customer in similar scenario? A's objectives is to have their financial reports, P&L, Balance Sheet and etc to be presented with weighted average costing instead of standard costing.

A insist to have weighted average cost end of the day as their raw material (wheat) fluctuates frequently and the differences could be huge.

Thanks!
BJay
