Prerequsite ESU release level requirement

Hi,
I am trying to apply the Prerequisite ESU 4605023 and the Setup would not allow me to proceed, as it reads from the registry that I am at "B733". I am in fact B7332SP13.1, but the "current release" level key does say "B733". Does anyone know what are the implications if I change either the key or the value or the "Setup.inf" in the ESU directory to make this whole thing match?

I have seen this before and, believe it or not, sometimes rebooting the
deployment server helps resolve the problem, (don't ask me why because I do
not know).

The fix for this is locating the "UpdateLevel" registry entry on your
deployment server which is in
HKey_local_machine\Software\JDEdwards\OneWorld\Install.ini and changing it
from "1" to "2".

Below is the response I got from JDE Support - I did this and was able
to continue okay. Also the Internet code change file has been moved to
the planner/data directory.

We have had a few clients who are applying the new JDxxxx ESUs and the
following error message appears:

"Installation has detected that the release level of the deployment
server is B7331 and the installation is intended for B7332. Continuing
is not recommended."
You must make sure UpdateLevel ="2" is changed in the registry under:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-->SOFTWARE-->OneWorld-->Install.ini-->B733

We have seen this occur when someone has upgraded from B7331 to B7332
and the registry hasn't been modified.

Hope this helps.

Hi, I'm having the same problem when trying to aply the JD4246 ESU... I've
already rebooted my deployment server, but it still says I'm on the wrong
version.

Re: RE: Prerequsite ESU release level requirement

Re: Prerequisite ESU release level requirement

I had this problem. The way JDE had me fix it was on the deployment server
under regedit.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
JDEDWARDS folder
INSTALL.INI
B733 folder
We needed to change the Update Level to "2". (Whatever CUM level you are
at)
When we changed this the ESU was installed.
Good Luck.

ok, I got the fix - in my case I changed the value for "CurrentRelease" to B7332 - only to apply the ESU - no starting of OW. Than reverted back to original value - B733

Where did you change this value??
