OW Kits

Is there a way to Murphy-proof the OW Kit process? We have users shipping
kit components where the balance of kit is back ordered. this they makes it
impossible to ship kit parent. We also have a need to change backordered
kit components on sales orders when the kit components have changed in BOM
after sales order entry. HELP! HELP!

David:
Just thought I'd respond to your inquiry on JDELIST since I saw you in the sea of names. How are things in the Springs? I suggested to Mike that I send you down a cowboy hat so you can fit in with the local yokels. Thought I'd let you know, I made contact with the guy @ Agilera re: JDE implementation processes. It is starting to look like a prospect. I have also had a couple of nibbles from JDE list. I am being very careful in how I contact people on the list because I know that the JDList is NOT suppose to be used for marketing and sales spam.

Take Care, hope all is well.

David

I had the chance to implement a solution in a Lab in Chile that managed
promotions. The client had the folowing snenario:
The solution that I mention below only aplies to kits that have the same
item.

1. They sold a combo: 12 units for the price of 10.
2. Create a special unit of measure ej B1. Where 1 B1 = 12 Units.
3. In SO entry, the unit of mesaure is B1.

I hope that this can help you.

Hi Luis!

You could have done your "buy 12 for the price of 10" without a kit.
Advanced Pricing has this feature under the Free Goods functionality. I
always avoid kits whenever possible. Its definitely a layer of extra
complexity.
