OW B733.1, HP-UX 11.0, Oracle 8.1.6 (XE coming up soon)
We upgraded from Oracle 8.0.5 to 8.1.6 recently, after which our number of
archive logs from our usual nightly OW batch processing nearly doubled.
Any ideas on what might be causing this? I've run LogMiner on both 8.0.5
and 8.1.6 archive log files, and noticed that the number of rows in the
v$logmnr_contents view in an 8.1.6 archive log is about one-half the number
of rows in an 8.0.5 archive log. The size of the archive log files is the
same from the OS-level. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
