Is anyone using Oracle Production Scheduling with E1?
We are on E1 9.0, and we are trying to implement Production Scheduling, but we are struggling with how it should update the dates on the work orders in E1. A consultant is telling us that the Requested Date on the work order header should not be changed. He says that date should represent when the order needs to be completed to meet customer demand. Oracle says that is the date when product is planned to be available.
If we don't change the Requested Date, then the Planned Effective Date and Start Date are incorrect.
If we do change the Requested Date, then MPS creates messages because the supplies are no longer on the same day as the demands.
Could someone explain how they handle this?
