Oracle extending XE/ERP8.0 support?

Ok, so I read the article, but what's new? To me this is the same old song
and dance. Or am I missing something here? We already knew, from the start
that Oracle was going to be providing support through 2013. Has the
versions changed that support will be provided for through 2013? Are they
going to provide support for Xe through 2013? What - give me details.

Check out the 3rd paragraph of this article:

http://www.informationweek.com/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=171000474

Nice article except for the fact that Charles Babcock mixes his E1 metaphors when he says:

"In addition, he committed Oracle to support J.D. Edwards Enterprise One XE 8.0 through 2013. Oracle had previously said it would support that application only through June 2007. Enterprise One XE is an IBM AS/400 server-based application suite and Oracle previously didn't offer any applications on the AS/400."

He meant Xe AND 8.0
I was interviewed by Charles, and at the time he plead ignorance as to the JDE products. Looks like he regressed a bit...

Ok - again, I just want more detail from Oracle. Mr. Wookey, said yes to
this question, but does he mean, B7332, Xe, World, E1 8.9, E1 8.10 or all of
these.

("That guarantee was repeated on Tuesday by John Wookey, Oracle's senior
vice president, applications development, and one of the main architects of
his company's future technology strategy. "Customers are asking: 'Can I stay
where I am and will you support me?'" Wookey said. "The answer is: Yes."")
