Hello Everyone,
We are running OneWorld Xe, Windows NT 4.0, SQL 7.0 with 2 terminal servers.
The developer have made changes in the development environment and the
application consultants have done the setup in the Prototype environment.
Now my question is, how can I make the two environment in sync. Can I just
transfer the project from the development to prototype and than just refresh
development from prototype.

any help will be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Re: OneWorld CNC

You will need to do a Project transfer from the development to prototype
environment. Then build an update package for client and server in the
prototype environment and deploy to the ES and workstations. If required
you will also need to rebuild the Global table specs (For Citrix) and the
TAM specs.

Re: OneWorld CNC

Arup,
Thanks for your suggestion, I am going to give this a try. How will I then
move the CRP environment to Production. Remember we are in Xe.

Thanks...

Hi oneworld_101,
Welcome to the JDEList!
It would be really helpful to describe (if not all, at least) some of the
a - subjects/objects on whom changes were done (either by the developer in DV or by the application consultants in PTY) and
b - the nature of changes/setup, if possible.
Until then, I'll assume this scenario: The developer modified, say a UBE's template in DV and the Application Consultant added some UDCs AND modified Processing Options on, say, one of the Interactive Applications.
In this case you may:
1 - transfer the project that includes the UBE & its versions from DV to PTY and
2 - deploy the UBE (that is creating the Client & the Server packages, and deploy them ... to the Clients & to the Enterprise Server)
At this moment you have ALL your mods in PTY; in order to get DV in synch with PTY you will have to:
3 - transfer the project that includes the APPL & its versions fro PTY to DV
4 - deploy the APPL (see 2)
5 - run R98403, version Copy UDCs & Menus (I certainly don't remember its number) FROM PTY TO DV and
you're done!

Re: OneWorld CNC

You will need to copy the Business Data and Control Tables from CRP to
Production by using R98403 UBE.
Then do a project transfer of all modified objects from CRP to Production.
Build a full package for Client & Server in Production and deploy. Also
rebuild the TAM specs and copy to the ES by doing TAMFTP. Rebuild the
Global table specs and copy to Citrix.
