OMW activity rules for EXTRA path code

Hello everyone,

Our Xe project requires a path code in between PY7333 and PD7333, called PREPROD (PP7333).

I obviously need to change the OMW activity rules so that the chain of development goes DV PY PP PD, by inserting a new project status and adding activity rules, allowable actions, etc for it. I am sure someone out there has done this.

My question is this: Is there a 'standard' or 'easy' way of adding a PREPROD path code in between PY and PD ?? I looked in OMW Project Statuses UDC H92/PS, and I couldnt see any predefined status for an extra path code.

Shall I just add project status 32 = 'Pre-production' and insert new activity rules based on what I see for statuses 26 and 28 QA/Review?

Cheers

I didn't add a new status number; I just added all of my new activity
rules to status 28 which transferred all specs and data between PY7333 and
our PREPROD environment. Don't forget to modify the status for migrating
to PD7333 because objects will no longer come from PY7333 as predefined in
the activity rules.

Hi vikingsteve,

Although I don't know "standard" method but an easy.

I prepared our OMW for custom path codes / environments and generally I export a stanadard configuration to Excel, where I use the Replace and I import the changed records back. I did it as well for Status and Transfer Activity Rules as for User Roles.
