We began getting a significant number of OWEXPLORE errors after our XE

Anybody else having these problems. The PC's are ALL brand new, NT and 98,
256 MB Mem. This is
happening only on FAT clients. JDE says not their problem. but I beg to
differ.

Sorry for the earlier lack of detail....

Enterprise Server 13 / Base Xe
Deployment Server 13 / Base Xe

The Base XE FA package (full package version a) is all that has been
deployed to the Clients.
We have not been able to succesfully complete a Server package since XE. So
we have not deployed any new server packages to
the AS/400 enterprise server either.

We basically have not been able to build/deploy a server package since
XE......

Specifically we are getting the following error on out FAT Clients:::::

This program has performed an Illegal Operation and will be shut down.
If the problem persists, contact the program vendor.

Ryan :

I'm quite sure that most problems happen on Win98... Don't they?
My experience says that OneWorld runs far better on Win NT than on Win 95,
and that Win 95 is better than Win 98 (for OW).

Ryan :

On NT machines : be sure to reinstall MDAC 2.5 or 2.6, latest NT service
pack,
SQL service pack 2 (for SQL installations, or AS/400 with SQL C.O.), and
allow
at least 3xRAM static virtual memory.
On Win 98 : MDAC 2.5 or 2.6, SQL Service Pack 2, try disabling antivirus,
defrag agents,
and that kind of perturbing BS software.
Server Packages : what kind of errors appear there?
