No Call Stack dump on Zombied Kernels

I'm at a client on 9.2 tools 9.2.0.5 and I have been tracking down a custom function that is zombiing after a long process. The call stack is never in the jde log. Is there a setting somewhere that turns this off. I always thought it was automatic.
