Just wondering how everyone deals with month end processing?
We have a series of processes that need to create batch journals at month end - over a 4 day process of review and adjust.
Prior to starting this month end processing, we wish to ensure that all other journals are posted and that no other journals are entered. However, we have no means to allow some journals, but disallow others.
Any ideas?
We are a multinational/multi timezones, so cannot close and re-open for "overnight" processing.
Oracle suggested using ## documents for the system admin /adjustment journals - but that does not allow PBCO.
We could use the OCM to maintain two F0010 tables - closing in one, keeping the period open in the other - but what is the impact on caching (P98613)?
(Oracle will not supply any notes on the B0000310 Company Real Time Notification Wrapper business function which fires when period closed in P0010)
Any help would be greatly appreciated
