Minimum and Maximum Pricing

Hopefully you can help?

I need to implement minimum and maximum pricing within Sales.
The optimum selling price will be managed via a price group, the sales team will have the ability to sell within a tolerance of this optimum price (min and max). Any sales orders placed outside of this tolerance will error.

e.g.
optimum price £100
tolernace £95 - £120
Minimum £95
Maximum £120

This is an interesting question. I was hoping to see some replies because it seems like you should be able to do this, but I can't think of how. You can use Min and Max price rules within advanced pricing to enforce a price range, but this won't generate an error, so I'm guessing this wouldn't work for you.

Hope you are well. I remember something similar in purchasing (P4322).

If nothing is available to assist with this (using standard methods) it might be possible to add an entry to UDC 43|FT, and modify a version of sales order entry to check for any tolerance settings that have been stored for sales orders (possibly by item/comm class/company).

You can do something similar by using % margin. Hard and fast high/low values, however, are not supported.
