Migrating from WOrld to E1 in two stages

We have currently around 10 companies in World A7.3. Out of these 4 companies use only Financial suits and rest use Financial & distribution suit. We wish to first migrate only the 14 comapnies using Financials. Later, in stage 2 - we wish to move the remaining one. This will reduce the user support requiremnent.

The first stage is straight forward. However durring the 2nd stage, we will have to insert all Finnacial data of the remaining companies in the Production(E812) after temporarily converting it in separate E1 envirionmnent. The Next Numbering is by company. The address book numbers are eneterd manually by each companies based on some set series. If we manage the Next Numbering for Batch No, Item No, Accout ID and Asset No etc by setting a separate start no in E1, we hope to do this,

Has any one done this sort of migration? All suggestions and advise is welcome. Thanks in advance

The iConsortium has a tool for maintaining a form of co-existance between versions and multiple roll-outs. Holler at me at 208.250.1917 and I'll help provide the details.

Basically, it has allowed several clients to migrate individual companys 'as needed'... from World to 8.x.
