Does anyone know how the menu tabs are displayed? I created a new menu, when
I sign on the menu tab comes up everytime.

Thanks,

Crawford Winter

Crawford,

Would you describe your issue a bit mor detailed?
Did you create a ne menu with the Menu Designer and/or created a new tab on the OW Explorer, etc.?
What does it mean "I sign on the menu tab comes up everytime."?

... and please, attach your system configuration information too, at least OW release and SP level. It can be relevant.

Thanks,
Zoltán

Zoltan, sorry I will explain a little better. When you sign on to OW
Explorer, you get a split screen with the main menu on the left and the
sub-menu on the right. On the sub-menu there is a tab at the top that has
the menu id and description. When I sign on there is a second sub-menu tab
with the new menu that I created. I do not want that second tab to display
everytime I sign on.

Re: RE: Menus

Crawford,
Now that you straightened the problem out, allow me to finish what Zoltan started!
I remember I read it into the Documentation CD, the Common Foundation Manual, more than three years ago:
The left pane shows the OW Menu TREE.
The right one shows the selected OW Menu List, allowing the user not only to Add a new tab, but to Remove any tab he likes, also.
If the user wants to remove a tab, he might like to:
-first click on the tab to be removed,
-next push the "X" button on the toolbar OR
-select "Edit" Menu, "Remove tab" menuitem, and, voila, it's all done.
I suggest you try and use the Documentation CD; it was my only OW Bible until I got the "Dev' guide" & "Complete Reference" books.
Welcome aboard!

Re: RE: Menus

Crawford, Adrian,

Just some addition to Adrian's great answer.
The left pane of OW Explorerer will always bring up the menu which is set up in the user profile for the user.

I totally agree with Adrian's opinion, using Common Foundation documentation could be useful to explore a lot of feature of OneWorld e.g. customizing the grid, shorcut keys moving around a form, etc.

RE: RE: Menus

Thanks Adrian that was so simple. My JDE bible JD Edwards "The Complete
Reference" did not have anything that I could easily find.

Thanks again,

Crawford

Re: RE: RE: Menus

Don't thank me, thank Zoltán 'cause he knew what to ask and ... he knew how to reveal your problem! He's a great troubleshooter, you know?
I always keep on adding Bibles, too; it seems there are a lot of Bibles out there, grade 7, high school ... but the JDEList Forum beats them all :)

RE: RE: Menus

be sure to check the "save settings on exit" or the tab will reappear!
