I did this before but I can't seem to do it again. I would like to copy a
customized menu to other environments. I have been using the Record Copy
Facility with no success. Does anyone have a step by step procedure?

Thanks,

Record Copy Utility (p9864)

fill in the 'from data source' as the environment you are copying from and specify the control table datasource (i.e. Control Tables - CRP)

fill in the 'to data source' as the environment you are coyping to and specify the control table datasource (i.e. Control Tables - Prod)

fill in the 'menu id' with your custom menu id (i.e. my_gh9011)

Click ok and it should go.

Good luck,

Hi Crawford

One suggestion is to copy the menus in Access. The relevant tables are
(control tables) f0082, F00821, F0083 and F0084.=20

Kind Regards
Bernadette

Thanks Jeff! My problem is that my from data source is greyed out. I will
have to check into security.

Crawford,
please put your OW version in your signature.

If you are B733.2 or less Record Copy is what you have to do. Log on to the Environment you created the menus in (! important !). Copy the menu records, using Record Copy, from Control Tables - ZZZ to Control Tables - YYY.

If you are on Xe you should do the menu changes in DV7333, put the menus into a project and promote the project status. Transfer is automatic.

Thanks, Gerd

Hi Crawford

I copied a custom menu last week from DEV to CRP and PRD by copying F0082, F00821, F0083 and F0084 control records for the menu. We are B7332.

Gerd, we are running B733.2 SP11.1. I was able to see it before but I have
install a large ESU recently.

Thanks,

Crawford
