Media Objects Printing

I would like to print a Word Document Media object from Purchase Order Print (R43500). Can we print Word Documents from within a report UBE? If yes, what is the Business Function.

If somebody knows another way of accomplishing this, please let me know.

Sorry Itopia. There is no known way to do this inside a UBE.

The only Media Object you can retrieve and print from within RDA is the Text
object; If you have multiple Text Objects within the same Media Object
Attachment you can only retrieve / print the first one. This is because the
first text object is stored in the F00165 table and all subsequent objects
within the attachment are stored on the deployment server either as ".TXT"
files or ".DOC" etc. You may be able to write a program to fetch the
relevant document from the Media Object location on your deployment server,
but I doubt you will be able to embed it into your report.

To see how text from a text media object stored in the F00165 is retrieved into program have a look at the Do section of the the Subtotal Section of the R03B20. It uses the Media DS
GT03B20.
