Master Production Schedule

Is anyone manually or programmatically loading a build schedule into JDE for MRP purposes? We are finding that the MRP logic does not fit our master scheduling needs to due a number of reasons. However, we are exhorting different options for getting the MPS loaded other than running MPS and processing action messages. Any ideas????

We have a custom program that does this. Planning is done in another package, the plan is exported as a text file and then our program uploads it to the F4801 as work order headers at status 10. We have the planning flags in JDE set so that MRP cannot re-plan the MPS items, it just blows through and plans all the component levels.

Laziness doesn't come into it when you have several thousand products to plan!
