E9.1 Lot Process Type BLANK vs 0

Hi Fellow JDEers

Can anyone tell me what difference there is between SRCE = 0 as opposed = BLANK?
When would you use 0 rather than BLANK?
Or are they both treated same in E1?

There is no practical difference.
If you're really doing Lot Tracking neither are recommended.

It's just to quickly identify items that are not lot-managed (=' ') at all from those that are optionally lot-managed (='0') (just for report purpose). The technical result is unfortunately the same if you enter a batch number: JDE does not prevent a lot entry even if the value is ' '...
Nevertheless, I advise you to turn the description in the related H41/SR table of the ' ' value from 'lots are optional' into 'Not managed by lot'
