Can anyone please help me to know how and when lot ID is created in JDE?

Lot control must first be setup at the Item Master/Item Branch levels.
Lot #s are assigned when your receive purchase orders and/or complete manufacturing work orders.

Thanks for your suggestion. Can you please explain it little more? Where at Item Master/Branch level is it defined?
Is there any batch job execute to create lot#?

Hi Rohit,

As what mentioned by Frosty, you have to turn on lot number required option under item master, Lot Processing tab. You can enable system to create you the lot number by a running number/date/manually assign. Then the lot number will be created during PO receipt or Work Order Completion or Inventory Adjustment (System will notify you to enter the expiration date or manually put in the lot number if you setup so). There is no batch job to create lot no.
