Looking for best practices shipping product in pounds and kilograms

My company ships product in North America,South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. We generate our shipping documents via JDE but have a problem as some of our documentation needs to be pounds and some in kilograms, depending on the destination. Does anyone know if JDE supports this, or if there is a document available describing best practices on implementing it? As near as I have been able to determine the UOM for shipping weight is driven by the Item Master/Branch of the item. There is a display weight UOM on the billing page for the customer but that does not appear to drive anything more than the online invoice.

Any guidance on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Kevin ... if you are using an output management tool (like Create!form, FormScape) you can likely do the translation conditionally on the output directly. Not sure if this helps ...
