E9.2 location by quantity

Hi all.
It possibile to "compute" Wharehouse location destination by quantity in JDE?

Reading manual i found i have to setup

-Loc. Dimension Group
-Item Dim Grp (item dimension group)

etc...

Is this the right way/best practice?
