Launch website with parameter

Has anybody tried to launch a url (website) with a parameter to it?
We use Business Objects and we'd like to be able to launch/open a report, from P4210 Customer Service Inquiry, passing the order number as a parameter.

Yes Adrian - we do that a number of Business Objects reports. Current we are running BO 4.1

I did a presentation at collaborate several years ago that was a how-to on this. I'll attach the Powerpoint and let you ask me any further questions on the subject.
