[Ctrl] & [F10]

Hi Adrian,

It is great and works.
I just want to ask where is it documented (of course, except the Forum/List ;-))) ?
I scanned the Foundation and the Application Design Standards (there are two appendicies where it lists the keyboard short-cuts) documentations but I wasn't able to locate this information.

First of all there are no stupid questions in this list. There are no
special keys to press to get visual assist, when you tab to a field has a
visual assist it will pop it automatically for you.

Visual assist pertains to UDC, you set up visual assist in DD.

Hi Emad,

I totally agree with you, there are no stupid questions in this List/Forum.
Have you already read the replies about CTRL-F10? Have you tried it already on your XE? Did it work for you on XE?
You have written "when you tab to a field has a visual assist it will pop it automatically for you"
What did you mean, just the Vissual Assist button or the Visual Assist application (e.g. UDC selection, Calendar, Calculator, Serch & Select forms)?
If you meant to the second case then how could you set up OneWorld to pop up it automatically? (In my humble opinion it could be annoying for the users popping up Visual Assist application automatically.)

Hi Zoltan,
Sorry I should be more specific, I meant the visual assist button will pop
up.
Yes I did try CTRL-F10 and it did work in Xe.

Thanks,

Definitely not a stupid question!!!

That one has actually been bugging me for a few months at least. Thanks to those who supplied the answer.

All I was able to find in the documentation was the F8 to display errors, and F7 to scroll through the errors.

Hi Kiant,

Maybe I missinformed the List in my previous reply.
Here is the answer:
Documentation CD/Technical folder/Foundation book/ Appendicies A and B

One is glad to be of help.
You're 100% right (as always); I got it from another old hand, this time a World old hand. Sorry, I don't recall his name :)
Long live the List!
