Keep FlatFile on the Server

Hi Friends,

I have created a Interface which export the data from the Custom files to Flat Files and that particular Flat File we need to keep on the server and for that we are using Call AS400 Program parm w/ for to keep the Flat File on the server.

Can anyone suggest that is this possible with JDE without calling the AS/400 Program.

Have you tried looking at the IFS? I believe an export run on the AS/400 would normally leave the file in a directory under the path code in the IFS.

For example, if you are running under DV in 8.12, you would have a directory like /DV812/export. If this directory does not exist, have it created with full authority for the AS/400 user profile that runs the batch jobs.

If you are testing locally, you will have to create the directory on your fat client.
