Job Cost

Hi List,

We are looking to setup Job Cost for a few days
now. What we have done so far is, we have created a
Project and from this project some jobs with budgets
and requisitions . So when we look at one job, we see
budget vs expenses. Our problem is that we don't see
the detail or summary for all the jobs under this
project.

Patrick, if you run reports, you need to use data selection on Business Unit
- Subsequent which is the project number. Depending on the report it will
either summarize all business units/jobs in the project or list each one in
detail.

Patrick,

Job cost is extremely dependent on the procurement system for commitments. There are many issues we are running into particularly when it comes to the commitments vs. actuals as well. We've had the system up and running for close to a year and are always bumping into one issue or another.

I'd need a bit more information to provide any real value. Feel free to reach me off list.

Hi, Try the Job Cost Inquiry - User Defined Columns and select from the
Project tab the item in question.
