Hello,

Is there a way to set up JDE user profiles so that the first time a new user
logs into OneWorld XE they are prompted to change their password? The same
sorta idea that you can do with Windows NT...

Thanks,

t

You talking system password or application?

System: yes, expire the pw in the userprf...

I am not aware of any, but we came up with the idea to may the initial
password so hard to remember that it made users want to change it
ASAP! Example: aI1yR6nqw

We asked the same question and were told that you can't. We disabled the
'OneWorld Security' from the security workbench (for a morning!) and allowed
the users to change their passwords. Not very impressed with this one!!

There is no easy way to do it, but you can set the SCSECLST field in F00950 to 100001 (January 1, 2000). This with a change frequency of 90 days has the effect of requiring users to change their password on the first logon.
