iTera roll swap results.

We have done 2 roll swaps in the last 3 weeks and I thought I would post our results. The first role swap was used to bring up our new 5.3 hardware. At the time we had a primary, 2 backups, and a replicant. The roll from the primary to backup 1 went OK. It took about 45 minutes, mostly because of our caution and double checking. After the swap, the Replicant and Backup 1 both thought they were PRIMARY.

We finally solved this issue by changing the data area, E2CURINFO manually.

The second happened this last weekend. We had a primary, backup, and replicant. This went much smoother from our standpoint. However when we tried to roll back we again had he problem of two primaries. Again it was solved with a manual change to the data area.

We are planning another role swap
this next weekend. I'll let you know how it goes.

Good information. We have the same setup as yours and we did not run into this situation. Keep us posted on the results.
We will be doing the 3rd test pretty soon.
