Hello All,
There may be solutions at an application level or a developer level so I am posting this to both Applications and Developers, and I apologize to those of you who prowl both forums.
We need a way to prevent certain liquids (and in some cases specific sizes of a liquid) from being shipped into certain states. I will use California as the example.
Item Restrictions is currently driven by Sold To during Sales Order Entry. It works fine if all the Ship Tos are in CA and we can be sure that no future Ship Tos will be outside CA.
However, we have many customers with Ship Tos in various states, so Sold To restrictions will not work unless we are willing to turn away customers in non CA states. That, of course, is definitely not acceptable.
I read on the List that there are ways to do this if the customers can be grouped and Advanced Pricing records created. We are already using Advanced pricing and customer price group to drive discounts in pricing for all customers. Is there a way to add another grouping at the customer level?
If there are other solutions out there, even if it means a high level of what a mod would be in P4210, I would greatly appreciate it.
I hope all in the US have a fun and safe holiday on Monday.
Thanks for your time,
Jer
