HI GUYS,

I HAVE A QUESTION.

I AM TALKING ABOUT THE PRINT INVOICE PROGRAM(R42565).

I WOULD LIKE TO ASSIGN THE NEW INVOICE NUMBER IF BILL OF LADING NUMBER
CHANGES.

FOR EXAMPLE.. IF THERE IS AN ORDER WITH 5 LINES WITH SAME ORDER TYPE, LINE
TYPE, COMPANY, ALSO SHIP TO.BUT THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS BILL OF LADING NUMBER
I.E SDCNID in F4211.
Each line may has different bill of lading number. Then I need different
invoice number for each line and it should page break.

Is there any way of getting this..

I hope you got my point.

would like to assign the new invoice number whenever the bill of lading
number changes..Right now this program is giving the new invoice number if
order number changes or company changes or order type changes..

I appreciate your help on this.
thanks

hi oxwe,
i am not sure about this but you may want to look at it and test it out. the processing options for the print allow you to say "prevent a/r assignment when printing consolidated proofs". it appears that an event rule would then use the sale order number for the invoice number. it seems like it would be a simple change to modify it to use the bill of lading number.
you could then let the update menu option assign the "real" invoice number.
then a simple modification to one of the a/r reports so that the bill of lading number would print next to the assigned invoice number to help tracking and applying of cash.
i'd be interested to know if this logic works.
good luck,
dave
