Hi list.

Well I did it. Installed SP 11.3 and followed the JDE install directions
to the letter!! So guess what???!!

Currently I can not submit UBE's to the server. They fail immediately with
no apparent reason why.

Porttest also will not run. it provides the following error message:
'Process <porttest> could not be registered'

I have logged a call with JDE, but am still waiting for another response.

Anyone out there run into similar issues.

I have reinstalled the JDE services to no avail, modified the IPC value to
no avail. I have also built a new full server package to no avail.

Any other ideas are appreciated.
Thanks
Harry

Make sure you are using a domain account for the JDE services. If you use
the system account to start the Network and queue services then the porttest
and UBE won't function.

Check if you had perform these:
1. Apply the SP to your deployment server
2. Apply the SP to your deployment server
3. Link Business Functions
4. Deploy to all workstation

RE: RE: Install of SP11.3 problems!!

Hi.

Yep. This is the way I installed it, but had problems with UBE's not
running. Due to time constraints, I rolled back to Sp7.1

Call is still open with JDE.

Also thanks to Michael for the suggestion on Domain accounts. Our
consultants initially installed services with local accounts. So I will
give the Domain accounts a try on the next attempt at installing SP 11.3

In the mean time, we'll keep plugging away at it.

Thanks for all the help people!

Harry
