A9.4 How to put order line on backorder without doing it manually thru OE, P4211

We have situations where our inventory is incorrect. Warehouse make an inventory adjustment to fix it and then they manually go into OE, P4211, and put lines on BO. I am looking for another way to put lines on BO without the WH manually going into P4211. I can't seem to find an option to put a line on BO or a batch job that would do it automatically.

Did you ever find a solution to this question? We are facing the same issue with availability after the sales order is entered and soft committed and an IA is created in the warehouse. We cannot find a way to place the order on backorder without manually touching the order.
