If you have access to the environment, follow the steps below under the heading If you can sign in. If you do not have access (can't sign into JD Edwards World) go to the section titled If you can't sign in...

If you can sign in:

Go to menu G94 take selection 14 (JDE System Values).

Press F6.

Verify the library name displayed is the object library of the desired environment or enter the appropriate library name.

Press enter.

Enter the fields from the generator:

Software Protection Code = Software Security Code
Note: This field is case sensitive.

Licensed Expiration Date = Software Expiration Date
Reminder: The Licensed Expiration Date in the generator is in MMDDYY format. The Software Expiration Date should be entered in the same format as your system date.

Licensed Number of Users = User Based License Maximum Users

Reminders:

If changing from User Based (number of users entered) to Model Based (blank number of users), this field needs to be entered as blanks, not zeros.

If changing to Model Based and wanting to use Audit Mode to track usage, the UPB Audit Flag must be set to ‘1’ and Software License Manager must be run immediately.

If changing the number of users licensed, Software License Manager must be run as soon as possible.

If changing from Model Based (blank number of users) to User Based (number of users entered), Software License Manager must be run immediately.

If using a User Based code (number of users entered) and attempting to run in Audit Mode, you will not be able to access the JD Edwards World software.

Reporting for Software License Manager is on menu G943 and can be used for both Audit Mode and User Based codes.

If you cannot sign in:

Sign on as QSECOFR or a user with QSECOFR authority who does not access the software directly.

Type DSPDTAARA jdfobj/QJDF on the command line, substituting your object library name for jdfobj, and press enter. Print the first screen, then page down and print the second screen.

Press <F3> to return to the command line.

To change the current values, type CHGDTAARA QJDF on the command line and press F4. The following screen will display:

Enter the object library name where the QJDF data area is stored.

Enter a Substring starting position of 496.

The Substring length will be 17.

Enter the New value field as follows using single quotes to enclose the values:

The first 6 characters are the expiration date - in MMDDYY format. No other format should be entered regardless of your system date format.

The next 6 characters are the software protection code - case sensitive.

The last 5 characters are the number of users.

If model based, enter five blank spaces -OR-
If user based, enter the number of users with leading zeros.
Press <Enter>.

To verify/enter the System 00 Install Key
Go to menu G90 option 5, Software Versions Repository.

Press the F2 key to open JDE Command Line Window.

On the Command Line type CALL J99LSF#

Inquire on System Code 00.

If the Install Key Matrix is different than the Install Key generated, change the Key Matrix to the Install Key generated. The new key may be longer or shorter than the original install key. If shorter, space through the additional characters.

Change the Action Code to C and press <Enter>.

Note: Take care to differentiate between the letter "O" and the number zero (0) when entering Install Key. There are no numeric zeros in the install key.
