How to create a PO generation approval from a custom app

Hi,

I have a requirement as a part of my current project, in which i have generated a PO from a custom Application.In my case before generate any PO i have to send a approval notification for the PO to the concerned Department.Can you please help me on this.

They are created at a certain state then when approved they advance to the next status NXTR LTTR

So you have to create them, you just hold them back until appropved
