The Client is losing money and business. The production environment is actually down and we need a support to start the enviroment again.

The hard drive of data (production, test, development) has crashed with no known reason at 14th Thuesday June 2011.

The last backup was perfomed at 05/06/2011, the export is finished with success.

The Import of the backup has failed.

Here the error of import log:

. . importing table "F986114A"
........
IMP-00009: abnormal end of export file
IMP-00028: partial import of previous table rolled back: 567500 rows rolled back
IMP-00008: unrecognized statement in the export file:
IMP-00008: unrecognized statement in the export file:

Dump file is corrupted.
After the import utility has found the error, the import cannot be performed.

The followind libraries has correctly imported:

CRPCTL
CRPDTA
DD812
DV812
OL812
PD812
PRODCTL
PRODDTA
PS812
PS812CTL
PS812DTA
PY812

These are the libraries that cannot be imported:
SVM812
SY812
TESTCTL
TESTDTA

We have tryed a selective import for each libriary
We hoped to skip the corrupted data.

With user SVM812 we have lanched a selective import for schema forcind commit for each record.
In any case, we lost object like synonymous, etc...
Even these imports has finished with errors:

illegal lob length marker 58601
bytesread = 00000000000
TABLE =
IMP-00098: INTERNAL ERROR: impgst2

We have found some information about this error on your document:

IMP-00098: INTERNAL ERROR: impgst2Segmentation Fault - core dumped [ID 578616.1]

Has showed in this note, we are trying to scan the export file with the parameter "show = Y"
However We think that the data cannot be recovered.
Anyone have any idea?

Cat,

Can you include the configuration? Recent Updates to OS / DB??

(db)

Do you have an older backup that you can use for the SY812 and SVM812 libraries? The data in there remains pretty much static minus the user setup, security and WSJ entries.

I always kept a fairly recent copy of these and central objects in my personal library to cover my backside.

Don't know how to help your situation Cati.
Hopefully by now a plan of action has already been decided and implemented.

Just curious:

1) what plan was chosen for this situation? your answer may help someone else someday.

2) Was your organization called in to help the client with this issue? or were you already involved with the client?
