GRBSPEC error during Server Build on AS400

Hi List,

Attempting to build a large update package (because of
ESU JD10172) and client builds successfully with no
problems. The server build also says that it
completed successfully but next to GRBSPEC on the pdf,
it says ERROR.

There are no errors in any logs, SVRBUILD, BUILDERROR,
etc. I have not turned debug on because I don't want
to wait a million hours for it to build. Has anyone
experienced this?

We are XE, SP15, AS400

Here is what I have experience with ESU JD10172. The update package would
also build with no problems and the client would install with no problems.
However, the Server package would not deploy. It would give me an error
saying that it has previously been deployed when it had not. When I built a
Full Package with this ESU everything deployed correctly. Hope this helps
some.

This is a known problem in SP15 (see below).
Until SP15.1 or later is installed you can correct by just redeploying the last full package on the server.

Description
A ORIGINAL REQUEST

On SP15 when deploying an update package the bin32 directory
does not get deployed.
There are 2 work arounds:
1. Deploy the parent package
2. On the deployment server under
package/<package name>/<server type> there is a
.inf file. Make a copy of this .inf file in that directory
and rename it "Compress.inf".
Redeploy the package.

It happens to me as well, but not only on GRBSPEC. However when I run the server package build again. The pdf says that everything got built.

have you tried doing a full build? also check the sts
files on the enterprise server, i believe it is in the
work folder..under packages in the ifs(400)
