Can people please share what GPO settings they use (and what they avoid) with later tools releases (8.94, 8.95) and versions (8.10 and 8.11) for developers' workstation and user OUs.
Of course, this is assuming all developers are evil hackers in the eyes of every sysadmin
We are moving our developers from WTS/Citrix, were our group policies were very restrictive (hide local drives, most software other than in E811 disallowed) to real fat clients and we want to find the right balance between letting developers do whatever they want and stopping them from using their work.
Additional info on how you deal with restrictions on Client Access tools (with iSeries Enterprise Server), gen.bat, WebSphere Express, queries to the database using MS Office tools, or the local MSDE is also appreciated.
