Form field definitions

Does anyone know how to limit the width of user entry for a field that has multiple lines (2000 character field definition)? What I want to try is allow a user to enter multiple lines into a field but only up to a specified width (for example 5 lines of 50 characters).

If anyone has any input I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Just as an addition to the previous post. I know I can shut off the scrolling to force entry (spillover) on the next line but what I would like to have happen is get a carriage return to display text as it "looks" on the screen when the user will not (possibly) be entering a carriage return on the screen.

Maybe insert a carriage return after every X characters?

Hi Mike,
Haven't you considered to develop a "Text Editor" OneWorld application using a work table to temporalily store the lines of text and using a Headerless Detail form for editing. In this case you are free to control everything.
If you are interested in it then we can discuss it in details.
