FIFO in Inventory Issuance Function

Hi List,
we are implementing JD Edward EnterpriseOne 9.1.5. it is a manufacturing based company. Currently we are implementing Procurement, Sales Order Management, Finance and Inventory. There is no manufacturing module.

Client would like to use FIFO method for determining WIP value (RAW Material Issuance P4112), and will use standard cost to receive Finished goods from production floor (inventory adjustment will be used as there is no Manufacturing module). And they would like to use FIFO for determining COGS.

is that possible to configure FIFO costing method in Inventory issuance function and how it can be done.

You need to find a consultant that knows what they're doing to assist on the project because you obviously have not worked with JDE inventory costing before and it is a dangerous thing to get wrong.

JDE does not specifically support FIFO costing. It does support actual costing at lot level which can be set up to achieve the same thing, but again, you need to know what you're doing. Likewise, if you're going to use standard costing without manufacturing you're also going to need to know what you're doing.

got it. Yes, to support actual cost at lot level we can use lot processing option of JDE. Enormous thanks for your advice.
