Hey!

Got a question for you. If you have LDAP activated with JDE and AS is Microsoft i would like to understand how JDE manages the situation where a Windows PW change has been activated.

Scenario:

User is logged onto their PC / Domain and working as normal.
User AD Account is marked for Password Change on next Login
User attempts to log into JDE and enters their Current Password

Question
Will JDE get a message back from LDAP that the PW needs to change and then prompt the user to change the PW and pass that back through to AD or how does it handle that situation?

We are trying to understand how JDE will cope with this

JDE 9.2 / 9.2.6 / Oracle 19c / Win 2019 + Linux Ent Server

Thanks

(To my knowledge), JDE will not prompt the user to change the password. Password changes have to be handled outside of JDE.

confirmed with Oracle this is all managed via AD so JDE wont ever know it simply passes credentials forward and gets a success/fail but no clue why..
