E1 HTML Server 64bit Upgrade (inc Blue to Red Stack)

We are currently in the process of planning our Tools Release upgrade from 8.96_1.5 to 8.98_4. As part of this upgrade, and in order to remain supported by Oracle we must replace our 32-bit E1 HTML Wintel Hardware with 64-bit equivalent (Platform to be determined, probably 64bit Linux), we are also considering switching from IBM WebSphere to Oracle WebLogic (discussions currently taking place with our Account Manager - including the uplift to the Enterprise Edition to enable vertical clustering).

The questions I have are:

1) Have any of you been through this transition (Blue to Red stack and/or 32-bit to 64-bit E1 HTML Server)

2) Can anyone provide sizing formulas they have used for the E1 HTML Web Servers such as No.of CPU's/RAM per HTML Instance and the No.of Users per HTML Instance - anyone using WebLogic would be more advantageous but happy to hear all of your stories!

3) We would like to take the approach with WebLogic where we have X number of servers configured as standalone E1 HTML Web Servers with Weblogic Vertically Clustering 3x JDE instances and then use a Cisco ACE Load Balancer to complete the horizontal balancing based on each Server/Vertical Cluster being referenced by the same port number.

Many thanks in advance.
