Dynamic Datasource

We want to change the server an ODBC datasource points to 'dynamically'.
At the moment we would log off OneWorld, change the ODBC setting, and log on again.
Is it possible to programatically force OneWorld to disconnect from a datasource? (I presume reconnection would be automatic as soon as the next request to that datasource was made).
Just changing the server on the datasource while OneWorld is running and has already connected to has no effect.
We need this as part of our fail-over system. Failure of a server is detectable and dynamic switching to another server takes place. We do this using program code for other systems, any ideas for OneWorld please?
We can use our CTI interface to interrupt OneWorld to make the switch so we can start a business function (if there is one) to force the disconnect.

Thanks
