Hi,

Does anyone know Visual Studio .Net 2003 Pro can be used to compile/build
business function in E1 8.0 ? If it can work, how to config the it?

I tried with Standalone 8.0 & VS .Net 2003, they can't work together.

Thanks & Regards,
David Huang

I fought this issue - trying many scenerios and lots of testing... to my knowledge 8.9/10 can only run C++ 6 and 8.11 will only run 2003...

I may have missed something in the way I set things up - but it doesn't look promising to work around it.

That means downgrading is the only thing that we can do now if we only have VS .Net 2003 Pro as M$ doesn't sell VS C++6.0.

In Oracle doc oti-02-0065

Title: Microsoft has discontinued selling Visual Studio C++ 6.0
Abstract: Microsoft Visual C++ version 6.0 is a minimum technical requirement for Peoplesoft's EnterpriseOne 8.9 and JDEdwards OneWorld® Software. In order to meet this requirement users will need to purchase the latest version of VC.net and then downgrade to the 6.0 version.

Issue:
EnterpriseOne 8.9, ERP8.0 and Xe software versions requires Microsoft Visual C++ version 6.0. This product is no longer available for purchase through the Microsoft reseller channels. Additional information for this issue can be located on the Knowledge Garden using the following navigation path:

Select the release that you are currently working on, and click on the "Microsoft Corporation" link to view the instructions on obtaining Visual C 6.0.

Any other comments ?

Thanks,
David Huang

Hi david,

No,PeopleSoft EnterpriseOne 8.9 and 8.10 Apps do not support the Visual Studio C++ .NET 2003 compiler, But the minimum technical requirement for 8.11 is .NET.

See the MTR on peoplesoft site
