Hi guys,

Can anybody give me an idea of

What is the difference between XJDE001 AND ZJDE001 Versions?? basically I am
looking for what is the purpose of using X as a naming convention and using
Z as a naming convention??

Thanks
Kannen

If I remember right, the XJDE versions were meant as versions for setting up
your system or copying and modifying. The ZJDE version are more a hardcoded
version that they don't want you to change - and you usually can't even look
and the values (unless of course you copy the version to a custom version
and then look at the values!)

Hi Kannen,
You can find some explanation about it on your documentation CD:

* "Technical" Folder
* "Development standards: Application Design" documentation
* "Object Naming Convention for Batch Application" section (note: but not only for batch!)
* "Versions" subsection

Unfortunately I can not copy that page to here for you because it is a PDF doc an currently I haven't tool to extract it.

Hi Kannen,

XJDE versions are mostly batch versions which can be copied and customized
by clients.ZJDE versions can be interactive or batch versions being called
by other programs
