Hi all:
How do I deploy changes of the data selection of a version to =
workstation that has specs of version already resident on the local =
machine.

Thank You

OneWorld Xe, AS400, SP15, Update 1

Hi 101,

I assume you're talking about UBE versions.
Put the versions in a update package, build, and deploy.

Alternatively you can go to the workstation in question, go to BV or OMW and checkout the version. Then erase your checkout.

Generally the former is the best way to go IMHO.

We don't use TSE here but I believe you can treat it as a single fat client for the purposes we're discussing. Anyone else care to comment?

I would agree ... providing that you have no other users on that particular TS machine. I suggest you do this if you want to be absolutely sure that there can be no TAM spec corruption due to other users accessing the TAM files. (Which are shared by all OneWorld sessions on a particular terminal server.)

After saying that, however, I have been on a number or projects where batch version check out, manipulation and check in was performed over Citrix with no negative effects. The newer releases seem to allow for better multi-user TAM access.

I suggest to you don't deploy package in the WTS... It's better if you
reinstall it Once a Week, because, for example, you can have problem with
triggers and Update package.....
